What…? What does that even mean? Can we start over?

Welcome to my modest and slightly lo-fi website. My name is Tom Worsley and I’m a comedy and children’s writer originally from the UK, but now – somehow – living in NSW, Australia. Nice here, isn’t it?

Somehow in my career I’ve written sitcom, sketch, children's, topical and story work across television, radio, and online and, ideally, I would like to keep doing that because then I can mix my three favourite things in life – comedy writing, the constant fear of being found out and not having a steady income.

(Honestly, if I can’t do this here, then I’ll have to move back to the UK, right? And it’s cold there. And rains all the time. Honestly, I lived in Scotland for 10 years and travelled to work in a canoe. Don’t make me go back.)

I’ve had my work featured on BBC TV and radio, and Channel 4 in the UK, and even once got nominated for an award in Scotland. The award ceremony was due to be held in northern France, but due to the pandemic it went out live over Facebook instead. Which wasn’t quite the same, if I’m honest. Also, we didn’t win. But apart from that, it was okay.
